Old Fighting Cocks

Coming soon, Ironbridge Wenlock Stout from the wood. We’ve got some of our loveley stout ageing in oak barrels. They’re going to be delivered to The Fighting Cocks in the next week or so by shire horse and traditional dray.

We’re running a 2 pounds to a penny meat raffle. The draw takes place on 16th December and all the prizes will be delivered to the pub on the 23rd. More details at The Old Fighting Cocks.

Normal opening except the following :-

On Christmas Eve we’re open until midnight.

Christmas Day: 11 am until 2pm. All real ale £2 per pint!

New Year’s Eve: barbecue at 11pm, £5 each. No charge if you’re not having any food.

We are organising a mini-bus from the Fighting Cocks at 7pm on Tuesday 6th September.  For a fee of £5 you will receive a tour of the brewery and as much beer as you like!  Limited places, first come first served!

We’re going to be showing the Rugby World cup live on the 5m screen upstairs. We’ll also be rerunning each game at 6pm.

The Old Fighting Cocks in Oakengates is going to run a Shropshire Beer Festival for the Easter week+. Starting on Good Friday (April 22nd) and going through to May Day Bank Holiday (May 2nd) we will be featuring beers from all 15 Shropshire Breweries.
